What does Prostate Dr. contain?

Prostate Dr. is a unique and proprietary blend of three highly effective herbal remedies combined in therapeutic dosage and contains more than just Saw Palmetto or Beta-sitosterol.

Prostate Dr. has been created with the addition of two remedies to increase the effectiveness of the Sabal Serrulata (Saw Palmetto)- Epilobium Parviflorum and Hypoxis Rooperi:

Epilobium Parviflorum: Clinical studies have revealed that Epilobium Parviflorum has an inflammation-inhibiting and healing effect on acute and chronic inflammation of the prostate and can help to reduce the gland to its normal size. It is recommended that all men over the age of 50 take this herb regularly as a preventative and to maintain prostate and bladder health.

Sabal Serrulata (Saw Palmetto): Recent clinical studies have suggested that Sabal Serrulata can be as effective as finasteride in relieving certain symptoms of BPH and in reducing the DHT levels thought to be associated with BPH occurrence

Hypoxis Rooperi (extract of African Potato): Traditionally used to strengthen the immune system, treat testicular tumors, prostate hypertrophy and urinary infections. The activity of Hypoxis Rooperi against BPH is ascribed to phytosterol glycosides, mainly B-sytosterol.

How do you know if you have a prostate problem?

Many symptoms of BPH stem from obstruction of the urethra and gradual loss of bladder function, which results in incomplete emptying of the bladder. The symptoms of BPH vary, but the most common ones involve changes or problems with urination, such as a hesitant, interrupted, weak stream; urgency and leaking or dribbling; more frequent urination, especially at night.  The size of the prostate does not always determine how severe the obstruction or the symptoms will be.  You may first notice symptoms of BPH yourself, or your doctor may find that your prostate is enlarged during a routine checkup. When BPH is suspected, you may be referred to a urologist, a doctor who specializes in problems of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system.

What is the proper dosage?

Take 15 drops diluted in appr. ¼ cup liquid of choice, three times per day. As a preventative, it is recommended that all men over 50 should take 10 - 15 drops diluted in appr. ¼ cup liquid of choice, two to three times daily. Must use everyday regularly as recommended.

Caution: Do not combine with finasteride or other medications used to treat BPH.

Use regularly as a preventative and to promote prostate health. Why does it contain more than just Saw Palmetto and what do the other ingredients do?

Many natural remedies for BPH contain only Sabal Serrulata (Saw Palmetto). While Sabal Serrulata is an excellent tonic for prostate health and can relieve many of the symptoms associated with BPH, it does not reduce the swelling of the prostate.  There are also remedies that use just Beta-sitosterol. This is one of the active ingredients in Saw Palmetto berries and is extracted from the herb in order to treat the symptoms of BPH. While it is true that beta-sitosterol is one of the main active ingredients of saw palmetto and one that has a significant effect on reducing inflammation of the prostate gland, it is not the only active ingredient in saw palmetto.

Can Prostate Dr. be used for viral and bacterial infections?

The herbs in Prostate Dr. also have anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties and can therefore also treat prostate problems caused by bacterial and viral infection – a condition which is extremely stubborn to conventional antibiotic treatment.  Prostate Dr. can also help to clear and prevent urinary tract infections as well.

Why not use antibiotics?

Prostate infections are very stubborn to treat with conventional antibiotics and frequent use creates resistance to antibiotics and renders them less and less effective.  Frequent use of antibiotics also affects immune system functioning and may make recurrent infections more likely in the future.
